Dear Exchange Student,

Welcome!  The University of Arizona Exchange Program is a great way to spend one semester or one year at the UA, one of the best public research universities in the United States.

There are many exciting things happening at the UA.  Mission control for NASA's Mars Mission was based at the UA, where UA faculty and students played an integral role in the mission's success.  Researchers in the College of Optical Sciences are developing "smart eyeglasses" that can switch focus from distance to close-up in a blink of the eye.  UA surgeons were first in the world to successfully use a totally artificial heart as a bridge to transplant.

Exchange students play an important role in the internationalization of our campus.  Exchange students are also an important component of the UA's relationships with many of the best universities around the world. 

This webpage will guide prospective exchange students through the application process.  Current exchange students can use the information on this webpage to deepen their connections to the UA and the Tucson community.  As is the case with all international experiences, the key to a successful exchange is for you to reach out and connect with your new environment.  You will have plenty of opportunities to do so at the UA.
